Green Room Cafe @ Bishan Park

for the nature lovers, this place can be a perfect romantic getaway for you. located in bishan park, the surroundings are pretty much shrubs and bushes. i went here at night, there was plenty of breezes and definitely a nice place to chill. for ambiance wise i would rate it very highly. the place has 2 separate restaurant with one being vegetarian. the canopy sells non-vegetarian meals and would be a good idea to have a meal together with your friends and relatives if they insist on having meat. outdoors dining area is shared.
ordered the vegetarian spring rolls and laksa (chef recommendation) while grace ordered a dory fish fillet. cant say much for the fillet but the vegetarian options were great.

i have to commend on their service though. they tend to your very needs and for my case, they offer us free drinks to make up for a little mishap that happened.

the spring rolls came with a special sauce. tangy with a bit of spice. delightful! (highly recommended)

laksa was a tad overpriced for a simple dish. they were generous in their ingredients of prawns, fishcake-like meat and beancurd skin. mine does not have beansprouts. (i remembered reading up somewhere that the dish has alot of beansprouts though) the gravy is smooth, creamy and not really spicy.

Yummy Green Vegetarian

this particular eatery is located in downtown east EHub! its not really good to locate 'hidden' in a corridor. the bubble tea shop or prima deli would do enough to guide you there.
prices are mid range but yet the food is very delicious though consisting of alot fried food.

this should be the most interesting dish of all. unique as the mexican steak has melted cheese over it, giving it a very special taste. a must try too, but only if you take cheese

deep fried chicken! crunchy, yummy but very heaty. the toughness of the meat makes chewing very pleasurable as the taste slowly ooze out from the meat on every bite you take. a must-try in my opinion. not for those who are very health conscious though.

a pretty good pasta with shredded mock chicken meat. the pasta itself is chewy and the taste is light. very nice

soup of the day: mushroom soup

the tempura is a very small side dish with just one prawn, some broccoli, mushroom and lotus root. not really worth the money. i was purely attracted by the prawn but it came out a disappointment.

i would like to rate this the best dish of the stall! i think this is the pork steak and the gravy over the meat is heavenly yummy. the photo totally does not justify the explosion of taste buds you will get when you bite into it. definitely a must-try here.

not sure what the name of the dish is, but they are using Maggee Mee here so its not really appealing to me

Chin Swee Temple in Genting Highland

Genting Chin Swee Temple Vegetarian Restaurant
云顶清水岩素食馆
It is located somewhere 10-15mins below Genting Highland itself. you can either go there by car, taxi or the free shuttle service provided. forgotten at which hotels do they provide the buses but im sure that could be tackled easier by asking around.

what can i say about this place. the weather is good, scenery is good and the food is good! best meal i had in Genting. price is reasonable too. if i did not forget, it should be 50RM/set meal for 2.

the scenery i took from my seat out of the window

grace waiting patiently...or not..for the dishes to be served. haha!

really loved the fish. the sauce is amazing. not too thick nor too salty. tomato based

My Secret Garden

161 Middle Road

was invited to my cousin's ROM reception lunch at My Secret Garden at middle road. walkable distance from Bugis or Dhoby Ghaut. small and comfy place. the vegetarian menu is as those photos taken. im not really sure if it normally serves vegetarian dishes but the quality is certainly not there yet. i would say only the soup tastes nice and the brownie! delicious haha. its a perfect dessert

ZEN Japanese Vegetarian Restaurant

its a new contemporary dining place that i just discovered in Bugis. quite a lovely place. located just at the cross junction of waterloo street and middle road.
122 Middle Road
#02-02 Midlink Plaza

ordered this dish because of the prawns! I LOVE this type of prawns and i would almost make any order as long as it includes such prawns. this came out pretty delicious. the texture is crispy and the sauce they provide compliments the prawn really well. sauce had a unique taste

i ordered this mock pork chop set. not too bad. sauce was good. the set came with this mock pork chop as seen in the photo, rice, miso soup, pickles, fruits and a small bowl of vege which contains pumpkin and bean

grace got this. mock unagi which is just the common mock fish we always see. the meat is seriously overcooked and charred and it tasted real bad. some parts that were not so affected were still edible i guess. different between the 2 sets is that this one had a salad bowl of shredded cucumbers and peanut paste.

dessert came up well. the macha ice cream was very milky but since im lactose intolerant i cant really taste this dish. grace said it was the best dish of them all.
